Royal ensamble

This years meet turned out just as lovley as the one last year, I'm so proud of ouer fun, creative and beautiful lolita comunity. I loved ouer new location even though it was a little further out of Stockholms city core then Hummlegården, it came with benefits of a more beautiful, spacious enviroment. And we got rather lucky with the weather again this year, the rain didn't come untill we where heading inside for the guided tour of the castle. What did everyone else think about the change of location and the fact that we moved it to the later part of summer instead of in may? Was it an improvement or a change for the worse or just about the same? As for me, I had so much fun I kind of look forward to next year already.

A weekend of frills

I didn't get a day off to catch the early train to Stockholm today so I can't go untill around noon. I'm slightly bummed out but atleast I will still have time to catch the VIP-opening of new Swedish Lolita store Magnhild later this eavning! I hope to see you there and of course on the big summer meetup on Saturday.

Futuristic hedace

Well, I was going to write a long hime-wig review but some late news sort of bummed me out so now it's just some usual whining.

The acceptans letters from different schools went out today but it seems I had little luck with it, despite applying for so many different programs I didn't end up with a whole lot of choices. I got accepted to a course of culture studies and one for graphic design, I am also a spare for three different law schools but it seems my grades just where not up to par for the psycology and pharmacy classes I really wanted to take. I'm not sure what to do with this comming year now, I kind of don't want to waste loans on moping around campus just to pass time but I doubt my ability to find a fulltime employment since I lack both higher education and much work experience.

Is this what I get for trying to be a realist for once in my life? For trying to get a real adult education to get a real adult job, not dreaming along and applying to art and design schools wich might amuse me for now, but will most likley leave me piss poor in the gutter with debt over my ears as soon as I'm not a student anymore.If that is the case, then screw you life, you're a jerk!

Pillow talk

I had a rather uneventfull two days off from work, I tried making okonomiyaki without much luck. The highpoint was that I found fitting pillows for the gorgeous pillow-cases I bought last Thursday. I bought them without pillow inside in the shop because I was sure we would have ornamental pillows in the right size at home but of course I was wrong.

I love them anyway, both motif and colours match beautifuly with my bedspred and my room.

We also had a storm this weekend with houers of rain and thunder and now follows the high humidity, everyone at work is sitting with their sleeves rolled up and fanning themselfs with reports and questionnaires, maybe today is the day when I take this years first swim outdoors.

In her shoes

Today, when shopping with my mother I stumbeled on theese wonderfully quirky heels by Swedish designer Åsa Westlund. Handpainted, one of a kind modern takes on the traditional wooden cloggs with kurbits (traditional Swedish floral ornament). I fell on my face for theese, they are so fun, cute and with a flare of my close-to-extinction cultural heritage. Why are they so expensive when I want them in both green and peach and petrol?

Lolita maxi

I don't always care for the lolita cultures take on more mainstream trends, maybe most recently Babyssb's version of the popular gyaru aceccory the usamimi scarf, but a lolita brand maxi-dress? I can definetley get behind that, I just wish the rose pattern was bigger and bolder, maybe a border print or something like that.

Closet clean

I was looking through some of my old pictures on the computer and found this one of my walk in closet, the first day it was cleaned out. At first glance, empty and rather depressing but full of potential! It inspiered me to actualy clean up and organize the shoe and bag shelfs wich have been in a constant clutter since I came back home about three months ago.

Quite an improvement, don't you think?

Vegetarian thai

Trying out the new Thai resturant in town together with Sara and her brothers, despite the ridicilously hot chili it was really good! It's my first time eating thai food, it's noodles with tofu, cashew nuts and leeks.
