Koo-Koo for CoCo curry

The curry at CoCo in Matsudo is fifty yen cheaper then the curry at CoCo in Shinjuku, if I eat at home in Matsudo twenty times instead of in Shinjuku I will have saved 1000 yen! Im a moneysaving genious.

Hanging out, geeking out

Let's call it reading practice, you know, for school!

A day at Tokyo Disneyland resort

I finaly went to Disneyland yesterday with Tomo. Before I came to Japan I thought I'd be going there the first week or so but that was obviously not the case. Anyways, I think it was a long time since I had so much fun, I rode every single ride except Splash mountain and that was closed. Alice's mad teaparty teacups where hands down the worst (I thought my head was going to fall off) and grand canyon rollercoaster was the best even though the line for it was probably the longest. I also ate popcorn again for the first time in about seven months, it was like little pieces of heaven!
When the sun went down efter about ten houers of fun and play, it got a little bit chilly so I stuck my hands in a pair of Minni Mouse gloves and waited for the fireworks to start as a bright full moon rose over the beautifuly lit castle. So romantic.

A little love

Today at Laforet, because of the grand bazaar, Maki was in the Angelic pretty store. She's even cuter in reality, I didn't even think it was possible.
I think I'm in love.

Dream spice

Today I had the best curry rice I have ever had, I got a tip about a place just a few minutes from my home and it was heaven! The curry had the perfect spicyness with soft carrots and potatoes and delicious meat that just melts in your mouth. I ate more then I thought possible. Now it's past midnight, I'm in my bed and I'm having trouble sleeping as usual and what's on my mind? Curry.

Milky tea with a hint of carrot

Dyed my hair again, and because I'm cheap and did it myself instead of going to the hairdresser, it didn't turn out quite right. Oh well.

Cat heater

Woke up ridiculously early and my stomach hurts, I miss my warm cozy cat snoozing on it, it always makes everything feel better and I want to go back to sleep like right now.

Weekend ahead and finally some light shopping

Kind of been too tired to focus on school this week, it's a good thing it's been an slow start. We have four new students in the class and we're finally learning to speak and understand more casual japanese. The upstairs beginner's class have like ten new swedes in it, it's totally insane, even though I'm in japan, everywhere I go I hear swedish.
In unrelated news I've also been too tired to go for serious shopping yet but tomorrow it's me and my walet working overtime, I'm warming up by buying som bling, I've wanted the chunky plastic ribbon necklace since forever! Also, currently playing Silent Hill 3, developing serious silly fan-crush on Vincent. So dreamy.

Last days of the winter holiday and Tokyo sales

I'm still jetlagged like I don't even know what and tomorrow I need to get myself back to school, and I was so comfortable with having no obligations. I did a speed check of the sales and even though I'm obviously too late for maybe the greatest stuff there seems to still be some nice things left so I will get back to that latest this weekend since I didn't acctually buy anything yet. I have to admit that's freaking amazing for being me.

A Lolita meme

A meme nicked from F*** Yeah Lolita's blog, continue the internet piracy and do it yourself!

1. Best Lolita fashion advice you've ever received?
To this date the only style advice I've ever gotten is to make it work so I guess it's the best one by default.

2. Style icons?

Sae I love both her quirky natural-kei outfits and the flawless pastelle doll look and I better leave it at that or else I'll relaps and just get creepy about how much I want to be her because she's freaking adoreble.

3. Describe your personal style.
I'll make it easy for myself and just say Lolita. Sweet for those who want to be more specific.

4. Favorite designers/brands?
Vivienne Westwood, Emily Temple Cute, Angelic Pretty, Victorian Maiden, GRAMM

5. Most cherished items?
My Angelic Pretty Toy Parade JSK.

6. Most used item?
Lace gloves and Tea party shoes.

7. I feel best wearing?
A lot of clothes, I'm most comfortable in layered coordinations.

8. The first thing I look for in another Lolita's outfit...
If it fits the wearer. Oh, and any kind of bustle or rufflebutt because I'm a pervert like that.
9. Lolita Fashion rule you never break?
Showing too much skin

10. Never caught wearing?
Sweatpants and T-shirts with prominent "witty" text on them.

11. Dress to impress who?
I don't dress to impress anybody, I dress the way I do because it makes me feel like I'm myself. Whenever I wear something else I'm uncomfortable and not as sure of who I am.

12. Your next "must have" purchase?
Something lavender and Angelic Prettys pink Tiara rose JSK.

13. Favorite type of head accessory?
Half bonnet and large bows.

14. Favorite cut of clothing (shirring, high waist, princess seams etc)?
Babydoll dresses and doll One pieces with collar and cuffs.

15. Current obsession?
Big hair
16. Best Lolita fashion advice you can give to anyone:
Don't roll out of bed into your over the top lolita gear, the clothes are beautiful and you should be too! You should always be the best you that you can be and for that you might need to make an effort and there is nothing wrong with that.

Exactley what I was hoping to find when unpacking, all my shit covered with souer candy.
Note to self, next time: Staple the damn bag shut.

Last Window

Finaly a sequel to one of my all time favourite mystery games, Hotel dusk, seems to be on the way. Kyle Hyde is back!

About that little pink tag in the back and why it's so important to me

Maria challanged me to write my own personal entery, in response to hers, about why I am what they call a "brandwhore". I won't explain the term any further since I think Maria did a good enough job of that so just read her entery for that part.
I'll just start out straight by admiting: I don't own any bodyline nor have I ever done so save for a petticoat. I have no experience of anything fan+friend and as far as Anna house goes I own a pair of bloomers and a blouse but beside that, my experience of what is concidered "non-brand" in the lolita comunity is rather limited. I also rarley shop at stores like H&M for things other than tights and I hardley ever get into the whole vintage deal so my wardrobe is largley just japanese lolitabrands.
Then how can I diss it if I don't even know what it is I'm passing up? Don't knock it till you've tried it, right? Well no, I have no desire to explore the off-brand scene any further then I alredy have. For me it's an easy call, I pass them up because they don't have the tag. All clothing of course have a tag but a tag is not the tag. The brand tag. The magic tag of instant feel-good. I could argue quality untill I'm blue in the face and it wouldn't be a lie, I love the quality of lolita brands and with time I have come to demand it, but it wouldn't be the entire truth either. Quality doesn't explain why I buy Angelic Prettys mediocre petticoats for 10,000yen when in honesty my best poof was provided by a 4000yen offbrand Closet child skirt. Quality doesn't explain why I pay overprice, sometimes twice the retail price, for rare or old prints. That is only explained by admiting to the fact that I'm a brandwhore. I enjoy my lolita brand clothing in the the same way I enjoy expensive chocolate, matching underwhere and Anna Sui makeup. It's just for me, it makes me feel special and no, it's not nececeraly objectivly "better", but a heavely rose scented mascara just make me feel better than any ordinary ever could.
In the same way brand clothing make me feel better, it's lolita at it's best and it's just so beautiful! The details, the fit, the fabrics! It's all so perfect and I don't really care if you can't tell my Fruits parlor was more expensive then your's, it's for me to know it's not a copy.
It's everyday luxury to walk in to my closet and her the crisp sound of expensive lace ruffeling as I page through dresses. I love the feeling of opening up beautiful hatboxes and unravel bows wrapped up in silk paper. It might be silly, materialistic and shallow but I love to posses beautiful things and I love the the little pink tag in the back telling me that every day is Angelic Pretty.

Sherlock Holmes premiere rant

I managed to drag myself to a premiere sceening of the new Sherlock Holmes movie last night and as a nice suprise to myself, I wasn't offended by it. For those pf you who didn't know I'm a huge Sherlock fan (a bit of a Shertard if you will) and I was a little scared of this movie since the trailer sort of advertised this new take on the character like some 1800-century James Bond, handcuffed naked in a hotelroom and fist fighting with his shirt off. It also added the obigatory Hollywood femme fatale in the shape of Irene Adler who is a rather minor character that I don't really like in the book, I didn't like her in the movie and I don't like the actress who plays her but without really spoiling anything I will say it could have been worse. I liked both Robert Downey JR and Jude Law in this and thankfully the character of Sherlock has still maintained alot of his essense and is not a complete meathead like I feared.
I would recomend you to go see it, it was better then I expected and requiers really no knowledge about anything Sherlock to enjoy it I think and it was an okay mystery with great music, beautiful scenery and good action.
